The Venue

We wanted to find a place in the Heartland that united the urban garden and enchanted barn by feel - that brought us outdoors (kind of) but not completely. A place where we could bring our worlds together to celebrate, raise a glass, break bread, nod, move or dance to incredible, masterfully curated music (meet Mary Ann on "People Behind the Magic"), and all feel our best under moody lighting and maybe a bit of moonlight, depending on the weather. A place that would have the food and incredible flowers we envisioned at its finger tips.  When we walked into Planterra Conservatory AND met David, we knew we had found the spot.

The breathtaking venue has a fascinating history. This 23,000-square-foot feat of architecture design was created in Belgium (the Benelux region) and then sent in pieces to be reconstructed in West Bloomfield. Benelux is the horticulture capital of the world and the reconstruction was extremely precise, down to the millimeter. We recently met the owners at our tasting; Planterra is still family run. Read more on the history here!

See you next month!
